About Us

Practical Engineering with a Hands-On Edge

At Iron Pixel Engineering, we’re all about turning ideas into real-world, working parts. Whether it’s a custom-machined bracket, a 3D printed prototype, or helping you figure out why your last part didn’t quite fit—this is where practical know-how meets modern tools.

With over 20 years of hands-on experience in machining, design, and operations, we’ve been in the trenches of manufacturing long enough to know what works and what doesn’t. Our workshop combines manual machining, CAD, 3D printing, and light fabrication to deliver precise, functional solutions for people who need parts made right, the first time.

Who’s Behind It?

Iron Pixel Engineering is run by David Rothmann, a technical all-rounder with a background in everything from toolmaking to mechanical design and operations management. Over the years, David has worked across industries designing parts, running production floors, managing projects, and solving the kinds of problems you can’t just Google.

He’s spent time as a draughtsman, machinist, production lead, and technical manager, so whether you show up with a napkin sketch or a full CAD model, he knows how to get it across the finish line.

What We’re About

  • Getting it done properly. No overengineering, no cutting corners. Just solid work.
  • Blending old-school and new-school. Manual machines, CAD files, and 3D prints all under one roof.
  • Flexible and fast. Need a one-off part? Tight turnaround? We’re built for that.
  • Problem-solving. We like figuring things out—and making them work better.

What We Do

  • Machining (manual lathe & mill)
  • CAD design & modelling
  • 3D printing
  • Light welding & fabrication
  • One-off jobs and small runs

Whether you’re building something new, fixing something broken, or need help turning an idea into a physical part, we’re here for it.
